Le’Veon Bell signed with the Chiefs and Twitter thinks that’s unfair

Le’Veon Bell is signing with the Chiefs and Twitter returned with reaction to the move

Twitter was out for about an hour Thursday night and during that time Le’Veon Bell signed with the Kansas City Chiefs. Talk about a lot to take in once the timeline finally refreshed.

The Chiefs are already stacked on offense and getting Bell after he was mercifully let go by the New York Jets almost seems unfair. Twitter was filled with takes about this move.

The Chiefs improve instantly with Le’Veon Bell

Kansas City remains a favorite to win the Super Bowl and adding Bell almost seems like a cheat code. The team just drafted Clyde Edwards-Helaire and now adds a back who many have just needed to be away from Adam Gase to be elite again.

Bell had quite the forgettable tenure with the Jets. However, he did still rush for 789 yards in 2019 while adding another 461 as a receiver. So even a down year from him would be a huge boost to a Chiefs offense that didn’t need help in the first place.

The running back was there for the taking and it appears he just wanted to win when choosing his next team. That was a clear advantage for the Chiefs in negotiations and while some may claim it’s unfair, winning can trump a giant salary if it is only for one season.

Chiefs fans who were casually waiting for Twitter to return got some great news the second it came back.

That just meant the rest of the NFL was reeling after an already dynamic offense added one of the best running backs of this era.
